Effective October 23, 2026
This policy explains what information Intellent Patents collects, how it is used, and the choices you have. It covers this website, the information clients share with the practice, and the practice's own internal tools that connect to Google services.
Intellent Patents is the patent practice of Ahmed Alhafidh, a USPTO-registered patent agent (Reg. No. 71158), based in San Jose, California. Questions about this policy go to ahmed@intellentpatents.com.
This site is a set of static pages. It has no user accounts and no forms of its own, and it sets no cookies of its own. We run no analytics or advertising trackers on it.
Prospective and current clients send us invention disclosures, drawings, business information, and other confidential material so that we can provide patent services. We use it only for that purpose. It is protected by the confidentiality duties that apply to registered practitioners, and it is disclosed only to the United States Patent and Trademark Office, foreign patent offices, and associates engaged on the client's behalf, as the engagement requires or the client directs, or where the law compels it.
Intellent Patents uses software of its own that connects, through Google's APIs, to the practice's own Google accounts in order to help run the practice. These tools are not offered to the public: the only Google accounts connected to them belong to the practice, and each connection is authorised by the practice through Google's consent screen.
Information obtained through Google's APIs is used only for the practice's own internal purposes. It is kept on the practice's own computers and in the practice's own accounts, and it may be processed by service providers the practice uses in the course of its work. It is not sold, is not used for advertising, and is not transferred to anyone else except as needed for those purposes, to protect security, or to comply with the law. Intellent Patents' use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Access can be withdrawn at any time for any connected account from that account's third-party access settings.
Client files and correspondence are kept for as long as the engagement and the practice's professional record-keeping obligations require. Information that is no longer needed is deleted.
When this policy changes, the revised version is published on this page with a new effective date.
